Frequently asked questions

From booking appointments to finding the right skincare solution, we know you might have questions. Below are some of the answers to help guide you—because your self-care should feel simple.

The level of sensation varies from client to client—some feel little to nothing, while others may be more sensitive. Rest assured, we use a high-quality numbing gel to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout your procedure.

Longevity varies depending on lifestyle, medical history, and personal preference. The ink can remain visible for up to 3 years, but it is designed to gradually fade over time. Some clients like to refresh their color annually, while others don’t require a touch-up for two to three years.

For the best and safest results, we recommend removing lash extensions before your eyeliner procedure. The adhesive used for lash extensions can interfere with the tattooing process and increase the risk of irritation or infection. Once your eyeliner has fully healed, you can safely have lash extensions reapplied.

Yes, you can still get lip blush even if you’re prone to cold sores or canker sores. However, since the procedure can trigger an outbreak, it’s strongly recommended to take a preventative antiviral medication (such as Valtrex or an equivalent prescribed by your doctor) prior to your appointment.

Additionally, many clients find it helpful to take lysine supplements leading up to their procedure, as lysine may reduce the likelihood of an outbreak.

If you’re prone to canker sores inside the mouth, those are less likely to be affected by lip blush, but it’s still important to share your medical history with your artist beforehand so they can guide you properly.

Microneedling is a powerful treatment for improving the appearance of acne scars by stimulating your skin’s natural healing process. Tiny, controlled micro-injuries created by the device trigger collagen and elastin production, which helps remodel scar tissue and smooth out uneven skin texture.

For severe acne scars, microneedling can:

  • Soften deep indentations (pitted scars) by gradually encouraging new tissue growth.
  • Improve overall skin tone and texture, reducing roughness and unevenness.
  • Boost absorption of serums and active ingredients, making treatments more effective.
  • Encourage long-term skin repair, with results improving over several sessions.

It’s important to know that while microneedling can deliver significant improvement, multiple treatments are usually needed for severe scarring, and results build over time. Many clients notice a visible difference after 3–6 sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart.

For best outcomes, microneedling is often combined with other treatments (like chemical peels or laser therapy) depending on the severity of your scars and your skin’s needs.
